Whether backstage with Bono, onset with Ellen DeGeneres or rocking the red carpet with George Clooney,  Liz West has been bringing television viewers across Canada a close up look at the biggest names in showbiz.  You know her as the Entertainment Specialist from Citypulse @ 6, the Host of "Star! At The Movies", the Entertainment Reporter for "Star! Daily” and entertainment host for “Gate 5 Live".  As well, Liz has Co-Hosted specials such as the TIFF "Star! Schmooze", Citytv’s New Year’s Eve Bash, and "Live! At the Genies along with regular guest appearances on Breakfast Television.

All this celebrity chit chat should not be surprising since from her first day of school  teachers  would regularly report that “Elizabeth likes to talk”.   After studying communications in college, Liz began her entertainment journey working for concert mogul Michael Cohl’s, Concert Productions International which allowed her to travel all over the world with some of the biggest music acts.

This experience fueled the fire for Liz to make her foray into television and she created and Hosted “West End Live”, a self produced cable variety show.  National viewers first met Liz when she joined The Life Network as host of Kitchens and Bathrooms” before joining CTV’s eNow full-time in July 1996. After interviewing the Who’s Who of music and producing segments for eNow along with regular guest appearances on Canada AM, Liz moved to Citytv in January 2000 as the lead Entertainment Anchor.  The mother of two has guest hosted on Cityline and resumed her lead position on the red carpet at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival for CP24.

Liz is currently bringing the glamour of the red carpet to women of all ages on the new W Network show Rags To Red Carpet.

Liz also revealed her strong political chops this year campaigning for City Councillor in Toronto.  Critics were amazed at how well this first time politician did, losing to an entrenched incumbent by a mere 259 votes.

Toronto Sun Readers Choice, Favorite Entertainment Personality  2006, 2007.
